THE TOP 10 REASONS Private Drum Lessons &
Online Drum Lessons May *NOT* Be For You!

1. Private lessons cost between $1000 and $1500 a year, and that is just for 30 minutes of lessons each week - which goes by very fast when you begin to realize how little can be covered in that time!
    
2. Good private lesson teachers are rare - especially in smaller communities where students are often limited to just a couple local guys that are typically unqualified to teach more than a few basic lessons.
    
3. Private lessons can be rather inconvenient for most students. They are typically booked at set times once a week, so you can't choose to meet with your teacher earlier or later depending on how far you progressed through that weeks lesson material. Even worse, in most all cases, you need to go to a music school to meet with the teacher instead of having them come to you!
    
4. Online lessons have poor video quality because they require you to download or stream the lesson content. Others that ship information on CD have the same problem because they try to pack too much video on a single disc (requiring them to scale down quality for quantity). Even worse still - most offer only a single camera angle - making it very difficult to see exactly what is going on (especially when it comes to complicated foot patterns and drum fills)!
     
5. Online drum lesson sites often have compatibility issues with older PCs, and virtually NONE are compatible with Mac OS computers. This means you may not even be able to make use of the lessons!
     
6. Many online lesson sources require you to download hundreds of separate video files that can take up a LOT of valuable space on your PC. To make things worse, if your computer crashes, it can be a big hassle to contact the company and get access to re-download the lessons.
    
7. Some sites make you stream the lessons online which requires that you be connected to the Internet in order to view the content. That virtually eliminates this option for any drummers with a dial-up connection. Also, it can make it impossible for drummers to take their laptops (if they are fortunate enough to have a portable PC) to the practice room unless they have fast wireless Internet.
     
8. Internet connectivity is even required for CD lessons that are mailed out for home use. Again, this means that the content cannot be played on a laptop unless it has an active internet connection. No joke, believe me, I have DVDs of Tommy Igoe, Dave Weckle and Steve Smith, all of them are great tutors and teachers but their DVDs are not as mouthwatering and not as down to earth as yours! MAN, my sincere congratulations to you and to your team! These set of DVDs are astonishing. I mean, everything was explained well in a language we (non pros) truly understand without the lingo. These DVD set are my favorite for now and will travel with me wherever I go. I have seen only the beginner series (Disc 1) and yet this DVD alone has so much to offer - what about 4 more that I have? This truly sets the standards for what a beginner, an intermediate, or a advance drum player should know.

I also like the SNR system, I do share the same predicament of not understanding the shorthand type transcription of drum notes but hey Jared you nailed it down, right in the pocket!

Buying your DVD was my greatest investment so far and I would never regret buying it!
